Based on the news that is stated on Kompas.com on October 18th 2022, Indonesia is one of the countries that faced with pediatric acute kidney disease. Quoted from Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia, at least 180 children in 6 months until 18 years old range in 20 provinces had suffered with this disease in 2022.

This pediatric acute kidney injury has been detected in the early of 2020, but the peak time of this disease happened on August until September 2022. 

What is the cause of this disease?

Based on Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia (IDAI), the cause of this disease is congenital kidney disorder. In the other hand, the latest pediatric kidney injury is not related with congenital kidney disorder and still under investigation what is the main cause of this disease.

Another notion the causes of this disease are adenovirus infection, leptospirosis and the after effect of cold medicine which contain diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol which is related with the same case in Gambia, Africa.
